MESSAGE TO THE PARENTS & TEACHERS

"Shaping the mind of our future generations"

Welcome to you all,

I assume that you have already viewed the contents of the previous tabs either:

-Irène.
-Method.
-Martine Mc Kale.
And you clicked: Read more ... If not, I encourage you to travel at least most of the first two. I would add here only a few details, tips, anecdotes and stories that will motivate you to adopt this method of teaching which has proved itself. I have seen many children with learning deficits that have benefited and managed to learn to read in joy.

For you, the parents:

Your child may be motivated by little reading ... Does the act of reading appear to be too difficult for him/her? The proposed texts are they enough fun to justify the efforts to decode words they contain? Maybe your child feels awkward or uncomfortable reading in front of others? A certain level of skill is required to feelings of self-esteem ....

Here are some facts experienced with children like yours:

A young 6 year old boy in big trouble for which it was thought necessary to have to attend the local individual teaching for many years has been, with this method, re-enter the regular class the following year without any rehabilitation support.
Two other children have replaced the small rooms they had assigned me. These little learned to read before the end of the year. Subsequently, I was placed in a much larger room and I received many children.
A parent then said, '' The child learns to read without realizing it, he does it while having fun. ''
In September 1998 I was given a little girl of four years deeply affected by autism. Despite this severe disability, that child who did not speak at the beginning of my intervention, started reading at the age of five.
I had to leave my post for health reasons. I continued to work for the improvement of my method because I am convinced that with this approach, even toddlers may begin to develop the same skill at the Garden.
Now, during holidays, weekends or outside of school hours, I welcome in my house young people who also have serious difficulties in reading. In Irene tab of this site, I told several anecdotes about them. I assure you that none of the children with whom I worked was subsequently known reading failure. Some of their own comments are particularly moving.
Parents who entrust me their children are then encouraged by feedback from teachers. They progress rapidly with decoding, comprehension of texts even write!

Using this method most acquire a taste for reading. Because the texts lend themselves to merry exchanges where small are surprised to want to guess the ending stories or invent new ones. What a way to develop their creativity!
Some parents told me that reading books became as bedside books for the child who prennait fun to get them out himself for fun to read what he had read. The child loves diversity, it is not necessary to insist on a text back.
For you, teachers, educators:
From the outset, a little advice: if your budget allows you to buy only a few items from my voluminous collection; start by flipping the Dungeon Master's Guide.
You will find among other things:
-Of Methodological notes.
-A Typical lesson for each of the phonemes to teach, with tips and suggested activities.
-All Texts of stories called compulsory. (Those that explain the details of the pictograms.)
-The Complete glossary of sounds and symbols.
-the List of vocabulary words.
-The List of mandatory and complementary booklets.
You will notice in these pages, all silent letters are underlined to facilitate faster reading and promote intonation avoiding losing the sense of the text.
The stories are written such that they explain the details of the pictograms while entertaining the little ones. I had the same concern by composing the verses of my song: '' On the pages of my notebook. '' I also think it will help for you who will have to learn all these drawings in the method when the 'will apply.
In the first texts available for children, you will notice that the same vocabulary but often come in different stories. Repeatedly force, the child eventually recognized globally and read perfectly. Subsequently, the texts become more interesting, vocabulary is enriched and that is what made it happen a love of reading. In short, crutch pictograms are used especially for beginners.
To keep the child's interest, I suggest you not to linger on the reading of a text, even if he does not read it perfectly. Often there returned of himself later, especially if he found the joke.
Of course, every teacher is free to put some creativity to adapt the method to his personality or that of his students, it is so nice and the children have a rich imagination.
At the Store tab of this website, you will find relevant details Purchasing and guidance on copyright to be respected.
During my career, I was asked to animation workshops with interested school teams by my method. Let me repeat here that as a result of these workshops, I answered yes to several teachers who wanted to use it, even if it was only a non-finalized working document. For me and for them, the relevance, appropriateness and success of my students justified this decision.
Looking through the previous tabs on the same site, you will be able to note the wide support that was provided to me. Support from the world of education and the Franco-Ontarian cultural milieu. (Management and Staff of CSDECSO, professionals and teachers School Board, parents, and CFTV 34.)
In closing, I repeat to you that this method was so efficient and enjoyable to teach that it is with pleasure that I retired, with my team, we responded to the request of all those people who wanted me to do publish. A long-term task which I am proud.
